The Preposterous Dream

I have a preposterous dream – hopelessly naive and idealistic, cynics would say.

I dream of radically and measurably raising the world’s consciousness, overnight if at all possible, but I’d settle for a carefully designed program over an 8 week period.

Sound crazy?

Isn’t it time we had a crazy idea or two?  The world’s biggest problems will never be solved without wonderfully big, new ideas, pushing the boundaries of conditioning and ingrained beliefs.

What mankind desperately needs is a new thought system that transcends religion, politics and even classical science.  A thought system which does not focus on mankind’s individual symptoms of a much larger root cause:

• Problems with the world’s economy;
• Issues with oil and what will power our industrial economy if supplies run out;
• Wide-scale death from starvation and thirst;
• Wars and rumours of war;
• Poverty;
• Species extinction;
• Changes in the planet’s climates.

And now, thanks to technology and advanced learnings in quantum physics, it might just be possible to achieve a vision as grand as this.

What we need now is a conscious evolution “project” to facilitate and gently guide the quantum jump. Significantly raising the world’s consciousness will deliver solutions we cannot possibly fathom right now.  This simple act will open our eyes to the miracles available when we remove the limitations of classical science and embrace the truly awesome power of quantum physics.  Religion and all other dogmas will be replaced by a philosophical system which embraces and transcends our current myths.  Life-threatening diseases will be cured by thought alone.  Competition will be replaced by cooperation.  Relationships will stem from the understanding that we are one to begin with.

Think it’s impossible to raise our consciousness on a global scale? There was a time when putting a man on the moon was deemed impossible.

It’s not only possible, but imperative that we do so.

Here’s a brief summary of how I think we could achieve the preposterous dream of raising the world’s consciousness.  The exercise consists of three phases:

Phase 1: Educating & Preparing Business Leaders

Some have argued, quite convincingly, that big business, consumerism and corporatocracy is at least partly to blame for our current state of affairs. It’s my own contention that many of our limiting beliefs are caused by a hugely effective mass media campaign on television and in print:

• The belief that we are all separate and must compete against each other:
  • Winners are those who own the biggest assets (buy more cars, houses, toys, holidays);
  • Winners are those who are the most beautiful (buy more cosmetics, clothing, cosmetic surgery);
  • Winners are those who are better educated (buy more training, university for children);
• The belief that we are powerless;
• The belief that we must unfailingly support our governments, despite their shortcomings;

It’s also true to say that although there are many individuals who are aware of the shift in consciousness currently under way, there are very few enlightened companies.  In addition, because we live in a world that requires proof, spirituality and consciousness is seldom if ever discussed in business.  The gap between enlightened consumers and archaic corporations is rapidly growing.  Business leaders need to know how to embrace this shift in consciousness and incorporate it in their business lives.  They need to know how business will be conducted in a new age.

And so I’ve started work on The Noetic Business Manifesto.

Phase 2: Building the Tribe

An exercise of this nature and scale requires input from a large group of like-minded thinkers, and those who have a large following.  Who would we need to make this happen?  For starter’s, here’s my list of Dream People.

Phase 3: Making it Happen
The Objective:
To scientifically raise the overall level of consciousness of the planet using all of the tools which created our current malady: global printed media, television and the Internet. Results will be proven using measurements provided by Dean Radin, PhD, as quoted in Lynne McTaggart’s The Field and The Intention Experiment. Achieving an increase in global consciousness would provide the following benefits/outcomes:

• Achieve lasting peace and security;
• Replace (or even transcend the need for) our faltering global economies;
• Tap into alternative energy sources using quantum physics, removing our reliance on fossil fuels;
• Obliterate starvation, poverty and water shortages;
• Prevent ecological damage.

Background & Assumptions:

1. All known systems (government, education, production), ideologies (religions, belief systems, classical physics) and indeed our way of life, are fatally flawed and no longer sustainable. Existing charitable and philanthropic efforts operate under the same limiting belief system that created our problems in the first place, and address symptoms instead of causes, and thus are doomed to mediocre success at best. While we are playing small, life as we know it is rapidly being destroyed, and time is short.
2. To change our way of life requires radically new ideas, which we are currently unable to conjure up on a large enough scale since our collective consciousness keeps us trapped in the reality we have created.
3. The introduction of new thought is a painfully slow process using traditional methods of learning, on account of mankind’s stupor. A new method of learning is required.
4. Our warped idea of God has blinded us to the fact that the unknown force alluded to by Newton, Einstein, et al is simply humanity’s consciousness interacting with The Zero Point Field i.e. humanity’s consciousness is what we have previously referred to as God. Once we know what ‘God’ really is, we can set about doing the previously preposterous: becoming God and defining our own reality. Psalm 46:10 – “Be still and know that I am God.”
5. If the experiments collated by McTaggart are correct in their assertion that everything is connected, it should be possible to treat the consciousness of the planet as a single entity (think an individual person). With the correct methodology it should be possible to train and educate that entity as one would any person, for the betterment of all mankind. Radin will tell us what the current state is of the global consciousness and what is required to elevate it.

The Method:

A Personal Development Program for the Planet.

Requires an 8-week global media campaign which generates as much media attention as 9/11 or the O.J. Simpson case (see page 259 of The Field). Think of a cross between the Olympic Games, The Secret and a Simon Cowell talent contest. Each commercial-free 1-hour weekly show, shown at the same time in each time-zone on the same day globally, will focus on extraordinary cases where mind power has achieved ‘miracles’. Examples abound in the work McTaggart has collected. The show will culminate on December 21, 2012 showing the live results of Dean Radin’s measurements, proving conclusively that the planet has become ‘more intelligent’ simply by tuning in.

There should be no cost for the initial airing i.e. this should not be a purchasable product. Revenue will be generated in other ways.

Stage 0: Creating the Company

Identify roles required and individuals to fill them. Business will be conducted without contracts and will adhere to adhere to Maslow’s Eupsychian Management Policy.

Stage 1: Gathering the Players – Theme: Playing God

All of the identified participants will be contacted with an invitation to participate along the lines of: “Calling all visionaries, creators, philanthropists, social entrepreneurs and change agents looking for their next big challenge… So you’ve built a successful business, you’ve impacted the lives of millions, you’ve made the world a better place to live in and you’ve created a legacy. Now what? What’s next? Could you be God?”
Various categories: Silver, Gold, Platinum, representing different levels of financial commitment as their entrance ticket to the greatest experiment ever conducted. Personal development teachers and coaches will join a membership site with a monthly fee. One individual will be permitted naming rights for a relevantly high fee.
Completion of training material and Lynne’s books will be mandatory. Possible entrance criteria will be applied and ongoing tests may be conducted.

Stage 2: Collating the Content and Preparing the Launch

Full-scale movie production. Global release to be coordinated. Translators.

Stage 3: The Release – 21 October to 21 December 2012

Needs to be extremely sensitive of religious beliefs, but not shy away from controversy. Liken the discovery of the new science to the proclaimed coming Messiah. Final show to be a lavish event.

Stage 4: Commercial Phase

Products prepared by the Players will hit the market.

Expected Objections:

• Insufficient time to produce a show and secure airtime
• Will be difficult to convey the same message effectively across different cultures
• Media/government censorship
• Insufficient funding
• Unproven idea/insufficient experience
• Will isolate/offend religious groups
