Here’s the thing: I am awesome and I am worth hiring.
Anyone can say “I’m awesome”. Yet, I truly am. On this page you’ll find 10 good reasons to engage with me.
Yes, the online marketing world is cluttered and you can find Strategic Marketing Consultants under almost any rock.
BUT, and let me emphasize this in a big way, I bring stuff to the table that most others lack. I’m not talking about determination or the willingness to work my ass off, because that should be a given. What I’m talking about is the following:
- My experience is a unique mix of real world sales and online marketing. Many online marketers have never had any face-to-face selling experience. I have more than 14 years’ experience in consultative selling. I’ve sold complex computer systems to some of the world’s biggest companies. And I’ve generated significant income as an online affiliate marketer to settle my father’s rather large medical bills after a near-fatal car accident in Thailand.
- Most of the things I know about the marketing industry in general, and B2B marketing in particular, are self taught. I learn because I’m passionate about this stuff, not because I need to. I’ve spent 20 years studying the Marketing Greats, so I’m not easily swayed by the latest marketing fad and gimmick. And I won’t bore you to death with techno-babble.
- I don’t like conventional. And so my approach, methods and the input I provide is different to everything you’ve heard elsewhere and which hasn’t yet worked for you.
- I thrive on uncertainty. I’m curious by nature. I always try to understand how things work, why things work the way they do and most importantly, what I can do to make them work better. I learn quickly.
- I don’t consider asking for help a weakness. I consider it a sign of strength. I don’t know everything, and I don’t know what I don’t know. I’m not afraid to ask about things I have no clue about.
- I take risks. I’ve moved to 7 foreign countries without any form of income arranged prior to leaving my comfort zone, any social circle or even being able to speak the language. Risky, yes. Stupid, maybe. Naive, most definitely. But it paid off in every case. And now I’m not afraid to take risks.
- I have good instincts. And I don’t say this flippantly. By studying human consciousness and Noetic Science, I have learnt that instinct is just as real a sense as sight, taste, hearing, smell and touch – it’s just that we’re never taught how to tap into it. I know how to access my intuition in a scientific manner.
- I am a straight talker. I don’t believe dishonesty serves anyone, least of all myself. WYSIWYG.
- I thrive on constructive criticism. I strive for personal growth in every area of my life and I don’t believe that anyone can be stretched if they’re constantly told how great or nice they are. Please tell me where I can improve.
- I’ve received great references from every single person I’ve ever worked for, going all the way back to when I was an Officer in the Air Force in the mid-80′s (now that’s a long time ago!).
- And a bonus point for good measure: I don’t believe that fame = influence. You’ll find many persona’s online who invest a huge amount of effort in being highly visible, but their ideas are anything but unique. I don’t regurgitate popular opinion. I will only share with you what works, and what works well.
I haven’t told you about past experience or education, because that’s all on my CV which you can download here.
However, I do believe in giving you an honest impression of the kind of person I am. I’ve been told I have talent (by people besides my wonderful wife and two children!). See the lovely things people have been kind enough to write about me here. In everything I do, I do it with an attitude of Work is Love Made Visible. I do what I do exceptionally well so that I can prove that my family’s belief in me is worth it. That I can do great things and become the best possible version of myself.
Now comes the point where I am asking YOU for help. Please help me spread the word that I’m available for work. Tweet it, share it on Facebook or forward it to anyone you think might be hiring. I am ready for a new chapter in my life, with a great job that gives me the opportunity to learn from other smart people.
