Believe me, it took great courage to finally acknowledge to myself that Christianity wasn't right FOR ME. I feared God's wrath and retribution for many months before deciding to leave Christianity. Giving up on an entrenched belief system is tough, and I had to learn this the hard way. And now that I've 'back-slidden', God hasn't still hasn't smitten me, I no longer live in fear and I am leading a far more fulfilled life than I did as a miserable, questioning Christian who kept receiving answers of "Just have faith, brother" to all my soul-searching questions. But just the same as I would never dream of trying to convince you to give up Christianity, please don't pray for me, and please don't quote Scripture trying to convince me how wrong I am. Let's simply agree to differ, and I hope we can still remain friends despite our differences of opinion. Friendships mean far more to me than dogma. @Geoff - awesome to hear from you again! We then assume the name Christian. So we are from all faiths, all countries and all peoples. What is truly amazing is that almost all the apostles died horrible deaths rather then deny his Godhood.
