Hi Michael,
Thanks for your friendship invite on Facebook. I have just begun to read through your website and all the above comments. I sense alot of fear there. Congratulations for having the courage to step out on your own as you have done, you sound like a ground breaker and wayshower. So many sheep so few individuals. Will look forward to further investigations on what you have to say and further contact with you.
Warm regards

Mike you forgot that Jesus resurrected from the dead and was walking and talking for 40 days and many witnessed these events and the people you talk about repressed this truth. So run, run fast , enjoy, breath, expand your happiness, love , Joy, do on to others as you would have others do on to you and know that you can't hide from God because he has conspired against us all for LOVE.

@Robert, thanks for your comments. Believe me, it took great courage to finally acknowledge to myself that Christianity wasn't right FOR ME. I feared God's wrath and retribution for many months before deciding to leave Christianity. Giving up on an entrenched belief system is tough, and I had to learn this the hard way. And now that I've 'back-slidden', God hasn't still hasn't smitten me, I no longer live in fear and I am leading a far more fulfilled life than I did as a miserable, questioning Christian who kept receiving answers of "Just have faith, brother" to all my soul-searching questions.

But just the same as I would never dream of trying to convince you to give up Christianity, please don't pray for me, and please don't quote Scripture trying to convince me how wrong I am. Let's simply agree to differ, and I hope we can still remain friends despite our differences of opinion. Friendships mean far more to me than dogma.

@Geoff - awesome to hear from you again! I'm sorry to hear about your loss. Not sure I'm ready to take on the world - just doing what I believe I should, as best I can, in the hope that some of my writings could possibly make a positive impact on those who are curious and ready. I hope you'll enjoy The 2012 Manifesto....

Good to see you out and about again Michael. It has been a few years since Fresh Wisdom hit the e-shelves and since then, it appears, we have both lost people dear to us, grown a bit in one or more dimensions, and are ready to take on the world, even if it is from differing points of view.

I am looking forward to reading your text come Dec 21.

Now I must jump in here... It is not a belief that Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus called Himself that, and not only that but, Jesus claimed to be God. That Christians alone believe that He is the Son of God and the Messiah is wrong, it has to be noted that we are not born Christians. We are people from all faiths and non faiths that have had the conversion that Jesus forgives sin and that by trusting in Him for sins forgiveness that we become His followers. We then assume the name Christian. So we are from all faiths, all countries and all peoples. What is truly amazing is that almost all the apostles died horrible deaths rather then deny his Godhood. It is truly a shame that you spent 14 years in a religion and not at the foot of the cross.

@e-eric: I'm certainly open to discussion, provided you agree to cross reference other sacred texts with the Bible. One of the things that every world religion has in common is they all claim to be the ONLY way to enlightenment. I tend to believe that they all can assist the process in some way, and so all are valuable, but none have exclusive right to enlightenment.

Incidentally, I spent a good 15 years immersed in the Baptist religion, so I know the Bible well. However, I no longer follow any one religion.

@robin ward: Not sure who David is, but since you asked this question via email too, I'll respond as if addressed to me.

I am assuming that by 'Christ' you are referring to the Christian Jesus Christ. As you may know, Jesus is recognised as a religious and ethical master, a reformer and a man of faith by Jews, Islamics, Hindus, Buddhists and numerous African tribal religions. Christians alone believe he is the Son of God and the Messiah. I acknowledge that Jesus the person lived, performed miracles, educated and died, but nothing more.

Just as I respect your belief that Jesus is the Son of God, I'd ask you to respect my beliefs without trying to insist that your beliefs and the sacred text you currently follow are the only way of viewing life.

Hi again
David, you did not answer the question " where does Christ fit your scheme of things. You simply skirt the issue by stating that we will , somehow ---'BECOME GOD (s). ---through philosophy?? LOL!
According to God ---this is never going to be possible
Isaiah chap 45;12 ..."My hands formed the heavens --and their host ( inhabitants) " 46;9 "I am God ,and there is NO OTHER" 48:12; I am the firsat and last, My hands formed the foundations of the EARTH
Please also answer the questions God asks Job--Job chap 38,39,& 40---where He names the constellations among other things . Isaiah 45;22 "LOOK TO ME AND BE SAVED ,FORIi AM GOD AND THERE IS NO OTHER"
Seems like there is no higher authority---except by going to a LOWER level of awareness
Why would you want to do that?
seeme pretty "absolute '"to me

Ooops!

I have just noticed you believe Christianity is a myth
& you believe in Evolution (which I think is a religion too sense it has to be believed since there is only theories and no real true scientific proof)

Anyways,
Are you seeking
& really open to change like you say you are?
Or is your agenda fixed?

Well, mine is fixed upon the Word of God (Old & New)
just as the laws set forth in the universe!

Anyways, I am open to friendship
& points of common ground
& to agree to disagree to a certain point,
if you are open!

Art,
Agreed - there is no destination, achievement or outcome worthy of praise, the way the world idolizes achievements. There is only process. So there really is no 'deadline' - only a transition from one way of living to another....
